my other mini bikes

I just noticed that I don't think I ever posted anything about my other bikes or any pics.  What's the use of a blog if you don't show pics of your junk.

My Honda XR100 Motard (from Japan), my Honda Ape 100 (from Japan) and my 1994 CT70.  All of them have good amounts of custom parts too.  I need to ride more and I need to start my '79 Z50 rebuild, which is one of the frames that needs to be powder coated in the new oven extension.  I included a shot from when I was piping in my air compressor too.  That was fun, but I now have about 40-50 feet of pipe before the air hits the air dryer.  It works much better, but I'd still like it to be dryer air. I might have to look into a air dryer/cooler system next.  Maybe after I remodel our kitchen, build a shed, and install a new circuit box in our house.  Lots of projects to start on. :)

Made an extension for my powder coating oven

I took an old dish washer tub and cut it up and riveted it back together to fit into the opening of my oven.  This lets me put my small Honda Z50 frames and other slightly larger parts into the oven to bake.  After a couple tests and some insulation, I stripped my 1968 Z50 frame and powdered it Granny Smith Green.  It's a two stage dormant powder, so the second stage is a clear coat powder which makes the green color come alive.  Turned out pretty good and my oven is finally set up to do my frame, which saves me about $200 per frame, and I have at least two more to do.  Total saving is $600 at a cost of about $50 in insulation.

Noisia Vision

A little throwback to wakeskating with this post.  Looks like a high level wakeskating video coming out.  I need to get back on the water soon.

1991-1994 Honda CT70 Dax wire diagram

I'm currently working on my '94 CT70 which I bought with the blinkers taken off, but in a box.  I'm having some issues getting a new set of blinkers working on it though, so this is for my future reference.  This is the 12 volt 1991-1994 CT70 wire diagram.

My new to me, 1968 Honda P50

Me taking my 1968 Honda P50 up and down the street.  I was a beautiful Sunday to take it for a short ride.  I bought this about a few weeks ago (March 10th).  Wasn't sure if it ran well, but I just rode it up and down the street.  I need to do some cleaning up, but this was my first real ride up and down the street.  Now it time to start cleaning it up.  I think I may keep it all original.  My plan was to strip it down and powder coat it, but it's in such good original condition that I kind of like the nostalgic original look.

$5000 of AWESOME!

Summers coming and I miss my Husqvarna SMR510

So last year at this time  I was in the process of buying a 2010 Husqvarna SMR510 from Heinan's Motorsports, out of Minnesota.  I bought the bike, picked it up and was having a blast... all 30 miles of it.
Then we decided that we had to have a boat for summer :(  I promptly sold the new bike after only having it for one month... again :(
Now, I'd like another one.  Here's the bad part: apparently Husky is no longer importing the supermoto bikes into the USA... again :(  That sucks!  So if I want one, I have to find a left-over 2010 or 2011 model, which I'd actually be happy with either.  So who knows.  If the bug bites strong enough, I might consider buying another one... except keeping it this time.  I do really like the 2012 look though since they change to an all black bike.

Toyota 4wd and CT4WD

I've been a Toyota fan for a very long time, probably ever since my oldest brother's first car back in the early 80s.   I think it was a late 70s Tercel.  He wasn't very good at driving a stick and probably went through 3-4 clutchs and maybe a trans in that thing.  It wasn't the cars fault though ;)
I've probably had more than 15 different cars since I started driving as I used to switch cars almost every year back in my younger days and I've been driving my current 2001 Tacoma dc for over the past 6+  years.  It's the quality and utilitarianism that I love about them.
Cool video from the boys up north of the border.
